Blueberries are a small but powerful fruit. They are packed with antioxidants, and their deep blue color comes from a natural pigment called anthocyanin. This pigment has been studied and known for reducing inflammation.
With a sweet and tangy taste, blueberries can complement nearly any meal and are delicious to eat anytime. Many people opt for blueberries in muffins, pancakes, or yogurt at breakfast, but dessert is where blueberries can really stand out. In South Georgia, blueberry cake is a popular dish. One of my favorites is still blueberry cobbler.
